Resource Productions Steering Group

Young People have been meeting weekly to air their views in the running of a film and video production company; Resource Productions.

The steering group has been planning their own films and having their say on the future of film in Slough. You can also get involved! It is an unmissable opportunity to make new friends, plan artistic projects and discuss their favourite films and any media that they may find truly inspiring.

James Partington, aged 15 enthused “It's very interesting , agood project, I got to know more about film reels and editing skills plus how to organise and structure a film, it feels like a window into the industry”

Film-maker Michael Holmes said “We have had an amazing turn out and there are more spaces so anyone aged between 13 to 19 is welcome to attend, it allows young people to increase their creative knowledge and experience by taking part in workshops, they also get to work with industry professionals!”


The group was successful in an application for funding from SYOF to buy new equipment and to have specialist artists involved to mentor the young people.

The steering group runs Every Thursday Evening 4:00 to 6:00pm at The West Wing on Stoke Road
